Wheal Associates is committed to high-quality training.
Chris trains journalists and company staff who need to be able to write clearly or for different media, such as websites. He also provides media training to company spokespeple giving interviews to the press.
Chris served for many years on the editorial committee of the Periodical Training Council and was a member of the working party that redefined magazine journalism NVQs.
When the National Union of Journalists set up a Professional Training Committee in 2002, Chris was elected with the highest number of votes and became its founding chair - and has been re-elected ever since.
Chris
has also lectured at City and at Westminster universities as well as providing
commercial journalism training in the UK and in Europe.
Wheal Associates provides a range of other courses, from writing skills
to industrial relations training, to organisations such as the NUJ and
Bexley Council.
In addition to journalism training Chris carries out media coaching has helped coach several companies and organisations to better present their message to the media. Chris learnt the hard way by appearing regularly on radio and TV. Watch him many years ago on Sky Money.
