industry, business and public sector finance. Chris has edited two weekly
magazines, Insurance Times and Property People. |

He was the 1999 British Insurance Brokers' Association broadsheet journalist of the year for an article in the Guardian on council insurance. And in July 2003 was named the BIBA tabloid journalist of the year for 2002 for an article in Choice magazine. In 2008 he was highly commended in the BIBA trade press category for an article in Insurance Times about household insurance. In 2002 Chris began a series analysing the impact of London's first directly elected mayor, Ken Livingstone, giving Ken the right of reply in an interview. He has written a number of articles for Time Out since then, including his prediction that the Olympics would cost too much. Chris has contributed to major financial titles such as Accountancy Age and Public Finance and more recently has written about pensions for Growing Business magazine and PLC Director. He has also written on personal finance for the Mail on Sunday and for consumer magazines such as Choice. For three years he edited a monthly celebrity interview column for Local Government Chronicle in which he asked famous people about their local council. This led to a feature in the Guardian in March 2003 headlined Infamous delivery (right). Chris has also provided general insurance industry news for financial services contract-publishing companies, in-house newspapers and trade associations' newsletters. He has also ghost-written a number of articles for PR companies. Chris was a regular contributor to Winning Business Strategies - a book published on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales - and has written chapters of guides for the Institute of Directors.
